Another brilliant student, now working professionally in the performing arts! Congratulations to our super talented Steven, for gaining the job of assistant director to John Mitchell this term and Marion Geoffrey last term as well as all his other accomplishments outside the school. Steven started in our vocational performing courses before gaining a place on the ACTING DIPLOMA in 2016. In 2017 he transitioned into the DIRECTING DIPLOMA and excelled in all his classes! He gained professional work inside and outside Acting Out Drama School and is now well on his way to a promising performing arts career, with a mixture of acting, singing and directing. He is brilliant to work with and we highly recommend him!! Scotland... a new director has just emerged on the scene!!

Steven is an attentive, disciplined actor. Though we only shared a small time together on the set of ‘The Gurney’, I found Steven an absolute joy to work with. It was clear from our conversations that Steven has a deep love for his craft and was eager to learn more about the relationship between the actor and the camera.

I have worked with Steve on a couple of projects, and both times he has been punctual, professional, and great to work with. He is willing to try different things when working on a role, and directing him is often an enjoyable and fruitful back and forth, with the end result speaking for itself on screen.

From the audition to the final day of shooting Steve was fully committed to the film. Even when we had some complications on set, Steve didn’t complain one bit and would help out if necessary. Completely brought life to the role, took direction well and would absolutely work with him again!

I've had the pleasure of working with Steve twice now in the last 2 years. He is very professional on set and an absolute joy to work with. I found that he brought something very different and interesting to each role he played.

The first film I worked with Steve on was a film that I wrote called 'Kin'. Steven’s role was difficult to cast as it was a character with early-onset Alzheimer's. It took me a while to find the right person for the role and Steve was perfect.

His performance was compelling and I couldn't be happier with how it turned out.

It was a pleasure to work with him again a year later where he played a medieval priest in 'Sacrament', a short comedy that I produced.

I would love to work with him again in the future and look forward to seeing him further progress in his promising career as an actor.

I had the opportunity to work with Steven on my short film ‘Red Card’. He captured exactly what I was looking for in the role and was very professional throughout the whole shoot. It was a pleasure to have him on the shoot and I will definitely work with Steven again in the future!
